Long Island Pool Pros

What's included in pool closing service on Long Island?

Standard Long Island pool closing includes: lowering the water below the skimmer and returns, blowing out and plugging all plumbing lines, winterizing the pump/filter/heater (draining and adding antifreeze where needed), adding closing chemicals (shock + winterizing algaecide), installing the winter cover, and securing it with water bags or a strapped safety cover.

Typical price: $350–$700 for standard in-ground, $500–$900 for larger gunite, $150–$350 for above-ground.

Not usually included: safety cover installation if not already owned (that's a separate $2,000–$4,500 one-time purchase), winter cover replacement, or extensive equipment repair. Most companies bundle opening + closing at a small discount — ask.
